Kazadi S-B. Barry has over 20 years’ experience in exploration geology and exploration management, working for various mining and exploration companies as exploration geologist. He has significant experience in several commodities particularly copper and other base metals, gold, iron ore and pegmatite minerals. He leads the discovery of the Mulomba West MgO, SE of the Kamoa-Kakula Mines in the Central African Copperbelt, 40.42Mt@20.4% MgO, Inferred Resource) in the DRC acting as Minex’s Project Manager and the discovery of the Akom 2 iron ore deposit (147.21Mt@ 29.45% Fe, Indicated Resource), and he participated actively in the Pre-feasibility Study of the Akom 2 Fe Project (Cameroon) whilst working for Mississauga Mining and Exploration Inc. Prior to that he has been a key member of the discovery team of the Kamoa-Kakula Project (DRC). Mr Kazadi participated actively in the team that developed the Kinsevere Copper Mines whilst working with Anvil Mining. He was member of the AMIRA Project P872 which was focused on the analysis of the Katangan basin. He established the Minex Sarl company, which is specializes in exploration management, technical audit, mining services, technical due diligence, and property valuation at all stages of development.
Mr Kazadi completed studies in Geology with the University of Lubumbashi, in 2004 and has been awarded a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Applied Geology. He has completed postgraduate studies with the University of Pretoria in South Africa and gained an MSc in 2012 completing research on the Kinsevere Cu-Co deposit near Lubumbashi.
Mr Kazadi is the Managing Director and Principal Geoscientist Consultant for Minerals Exploration Associates SARL (NIF: A1800221L; RCCM: B-13-0006; ID. NAT: 441-259-DPE-KAT-2012), an independent geological and mining services consulting firm established in 2018. He is a Member of the South African Council of Natural Scientific Profession (SACNASP), Member of the Geological Survey of South Africa (GSSA), Member of Society of Economic Geologist (SEG) and Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM).
