Pr. Dr. Pascal Mambwe Matanda obtained its PhD degree in Geology at the KU Leuven (Belgium) with ta specialization in Ore geology and sedimentary geology. He worked over 18 years in geological exploration of base metal and limestone deposit along the Central Africa Copperbelt and contributed to their discovery. Previous, He worked at Investigation geological office, Chemical of Africa and Tiger Resource limited as exploration geologist between 2005 and 2007. In 2007, He joined Tenke Fungurume Mining under Freeport McMoRan and Chine Molybdenum Company operations respectively as senior geologist and Leader of Greenfield exploration project respectively. He is a professor of mineral economics and mining geology at University of Lubumbashi, and its research topic focuses on the geology of Katanga Supergroup, and its economic implication.
